The South Lake Union Streetcar

SEATTLE - A Southlake Union Streetcar hit a pickup truck parked in its path this afternoon in Seattle, shutting down service for about 25 minutes.

No one was injured.

The Seattle Department of Transportation says the accident happened about 1:07 p.m. Neither the streetcar or the pickup was seriously damaged, but the streetcar was removed from service for repair.

The pickup was parked along the curb but the rear was hanging over the streetcar path. The department says the streetcar's left front side struck the vehicle.

The streetcar operates on a 1.3-mile line.
