| Recommended Driver escapes after high speed chase on I-5

SEATTLE - A routine traffic stop overnight Tuesday turned into a high speed chase down Interstate 5 through several counties.
Deputies tried to pull over a suspected reckless driver in south Snohomish County around 3:00 a.m. when officers said he took off.
The chase was captured on Washington DOT cameras as the drivers went south on I-5 through King County and into Pierce County.
Deputies called off the pursuit around the Tacoma area about 30 minutes later. The driver got away.
Investigators have not released any information about the driver.
