Serial robber hits South King County espresso stands

SEATTLE - The King County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of espresso-stand robberies.

Six occurred in unincorporated south King County, one in Auburn and one in Kent.

Deputies believe these robberies are being carried out by the same person.

All the baristas were young women working alone at the time of the robberies.

No one has been injured, but in one incident the suspect displayed a taser-like device.

Six robberies occurred in unincorporated south King County, one in Auburn and one in Kent.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years, grayish hair, with bad teeth. He has also been described as, "a cleaned-up crack addict" by some witnesses.

The suspect drives a 2003 or 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport XLS, red or maroon in color, with an unknown license plate.
