VANCOUVER, Wash. – Speed and alcohol were major factors in a car crash that killed two people over the weekend, according to police.
Clark County Fire District 6
Investigators believe a Honda Accord was traveling at high speeds near Ridgefield Friday night when the driver lost control, crashing the car along NE 29th Ave.
Both passengers killed in the accident were seated in the rear of the car.
They were identified Sunday as 27-year-old Richard Broderick and Emily Dewey, 23.
The driver was identified as Travis Gee, 28, according to Sgt. Dennis Pritchard with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Criminal charges are pending the completion of the investigation, Pritchard said.
Amber Clement, 25, was the front seat passenger.
Both Gee and Clement were transported by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Pritchard.
