Exposing E-gate

06:01 PM PDT on Tuesday, June 12, 2007

The KING 5 Investigators first broke the story that exposed "E-gate." They found that Port of Seattle Police officers knew about, but didn't report, pornographic and racist e-mails being sent and received by fellow officers on government computers, on government time. The scandal, termed by the police department as "E-gate," involves up to a third of the force including command staff. Our stories have prompted port commissioners to launch a new, independent investigation.
