'Trump loves Christmas' so he made a $149 ornament

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - The most expensive gift you buy this year might not be under the tree but on it. The president-elect's campaign rolled out an ornament in the shape of a red hat, made of brass, finished in 24 karat gold, and embellished with "Make America Great Again" for $149. 

It's the most expensive item featured on the Trump store website.

"President-elect Trump loves Christmas and makes a point of proudly saying 'Merry Christmas' every chance he gets," the Trump store manager said in a statement. 

The Trump store considers all retail purchases to be contributions, and therefore does not issue returns. Eighty percent of purchases goes toward the president-elect's company, while 20 percent travels back to the RNC, according to the shop's checkout policy.

"All of our products are 100 percent proudly made in the USA," the online shop posted.

President-elect Trump's campaign store is paid for by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee and authorized by the RNC and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.

The White House Store also sells Christmas tree ornaments. The most expensive one, a teal and 24 karat gold Easter egg, runs for $155. Its most expensive ornament collection is a 100-piece set of framed photos of Obama in the White House during historical moments and can be bought for $5,495.
