BELLEVUE, Wash. - The father of missing 2-year-old, Sky Metawala invited the public to the Downtown Bellevue Park for a vigil for his son Saturday afternoon.

The Search and Seek team, made up of strangers from throughout the state was bonded by the story of the little boy and his father's yearning to find his son.

They've never met 2-year-old Sky, but each one of them knows what it feels like to love a child.

"I have three kids of my own and I know if one of them went missing I don't know what I'd do,” said Sharon.

"He looks so cute in those pictures, he really does,” said Samantha Grable.

"One hundred days, I couldn't imagine 24 hours, an hour a second," said Sharon.

It's their support that keeps Sky's dad Solomon going.

"My prayers and the people that are going to be joining us, they're going to be multiplying and hitting Sky,” he said.

The group planned to release balloons and light candles for Sky.

"We did Sky's favorite color and Mylie's favorite color,” said Jennifer Mau.

The 2-year-old's mother reported the boy missing more than 100 days ago. She told police her car ran out of gas and left him alone in the car while she went for help.

There have been no arrests in the case.

"We gotta bring him home. No matter what happens, no matter what the situation is, we just got to get him home," said Sharon.

Glad the dad has such strong support. He needs it as he provides for his daughter and keeps Sky's memory alive. I so wish Bellevue PD would arrest mom on negligent charges and hold her for awhile without bail. She is getting off too easy as are her mother and brother . . . all suspects as far as I can see. I also worry if Julia has visitation we are looking at another Josh Powell ending. Like Josh, Julia doesn't have much more to lose. She must realize now that she will never have custody again of her daughter and if Sky is alive and found she will never have custody of him, either.

People need to stop calling the dad a suspect! You have OBVIOUSLY not read into the case enough. Not to mention enough to put your DUMB 2 cents in! He hadnt seen his son in almost a year! The mom is CRAZY! Why would he be spending SO much time into something he knew the outcome. We are all hoping for Sky to come home. But it is REALLY getting to the point Bellevue Police need to step up and do their job!!!!!!! The mom NEEDS to be waterboarded! I'm out and about in Redmond on a daily basis. If i see her...i will have a hard time not doing some serious damage!

Waterbording sounds like an obvious. Maybe its just me but this kind of laid back aproach with criminals seems to be exactally what led to the deth of the powell boys. Shame on you Washington state officials. Maybe from their multi million dollar homes they cant see the sadness they bring through their neglect. Last I checked if i dont do my job I get fired. ACCOUNTABILITY

ONE of the parents, and likely both KNOW where he is and/or what happened to him. Maybe a little "waterboarding" could help jog their memories?

Should we be assuming he died? He could be living in another country with his maternal family. I keep hoping the police will push this mother to answer questions. Something about this whole thing is so wrong. It is like she slept with half of the Bellevue Police force and they are covering her up. She is a person of high interest so interrogate and polygraph her.

What is bothersome is that he had not been seen for months before his "disappearance" (according to earlier news reports). The mother needs to be pulled in for questioning and held in jail unless she can provide proof that he was alive at the time of his disappearance. I could prove that my children were alive...even with grocery receipts to show that my children were with me when I shopped. I deplore "gestapo" tactics but in the case of this woman, strong arm tactics are necessary because Sky did not disappear on that day. I am not one to pre-judge but this gal has nothing going for her. She did something bad..either shipping her son to overseas relatives or burying him somewhere. Time for the rubber to hit the road. Get her on trail now for endangerment and find out where he was...proof...where did you shop? Where were the kids? Leaving them home for 12 hours alone is enough to charge her with something surely...

Just another sad case of local officials sitting on the hands till some event or hard evidence falls into their laps.

Since I cannot be with Sky's family and so many friends, I send my prayerful thoughts to them. Finding peace will not come to them until it is known for sure what happened to this sweet, innocent child. Was he spirited out of the country & living a safe. loving life in some other country? If he is no longer alive, we know he is with God & all heaven's angels, being cared for in a much better way that he was while on earth. I absolutely agree with *nightmare* that mama should be arrested for leaving a 2 year old alone in a car for over an hour. Perhaps, since there are no witnesses to back up that story, the police have their hands tied, legally. It's a terrible, da** shame that she has been allowed to avoid any contact with the police, regardless of what her attorney says. AND where is she getting the money for an attorney? The cost must be rising since at the least he's been available when mama needs him. If she were interviewed as a hostile witness, her 'story' might change!

Thoughts and prayers to this little boy. My BIG question is, Why has the mother NOT been arrested? She admits to leaving him in the car, UNATTENDED! Is this not reckless endangerment of a minor? Seems to me that if they put a little more pressure on her the truth might come out. She needs to stop hiding behind a lawyer and be held accountable .
