More details of President Obama's Feb 17 Seattle visit are emerging.

In addition to an as-yet unspecific official event, Obama will attend two political fundraisers, according to his campaign.

The first is a $17,900-per-person brunch at the Medina home of Jeff and Susan Brotman.

The Brotmans are one of the area's best-known power couples and longtime Democratic patrons. He is best known as co-founder of Costco Wholesale; she is a former Nordstrom executive active in philanthropy. They hosted First Lady Michelle Obama at their home in 2010.

The brunch will be followed by a $1,000-a-person fundraising lunch at the Bellevue Westin. Donors can pay $5,000 for a photo reception with the President.

Mr_Conservative, anytime you want to argue facts and figures instead of the usual name calling, I'm ready. There have been several non-partisan groups that have posted where today's deficit has come from. The VAST majority is from the Bush Administration, and doesn't even include the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. You're the guy implying that where this country is today is Obama's fault. Your blind alliegence to the GOP isn't a sign of a thinking man. And for the record, I'm NOT a fan of the Democratic party either. Obama was just the best of two poor choices. Congress is even worse. Looks like the next election will be more of the same.

@shoreline - Oops...my bad...I should have known it was Bush's fault. Foolish of me to expect the Narcissistic Community Organizer to accept responsibility for anything.

You're funny Mr.Conservative. we "anti-American Marxist liberals castigate the rich? And yet here the rich are fundraising for Obama? You're rhetoric doesn't seem to hold much water. The only "rich" I have issues with are those who use thier wealth and influence to get out of paying thier fair share. Have you seen how much the Bush-era tax cuts for the "rich" have increased our national debt? But where are all the jobs they were supposed to create? Oh yeah, they were all sent overseas to those willing to work for poverty-level wages! You talk about anti-American...

Why do you liberals castigate "the rich" yet ignore it when your anti-America Marxist president holds private fundraisers with them? Aaaahhhh...He's just a commoner like the rest of us...
