Funny though, in my neighborhood, people still throw it out into the sidewalk.

I work for Seattle Goodwill and I know if it was any of the stores in our district they should have taken the items. If they did refuse your stuff you can file a complaint. That has been our policy since 1/1/09.

Last time I tried to donate some electronics to a Goodwill, they refused to take it. They said they might consider, only if it was in good working condition. So not sure amahow07 is correct.

Goodwill has been taking all electronics including tv,computers,ect. and recycling them (working or nonworking) since the begining of last year. For free!!! They also give you a tax receipt for them to claim it on your taxes.

Maybe not much of a story for you, however last I heard before seeing this story, it was going to cost me to get rid of the mobos, video cards, scanners and printers they gladly took off my hands this morning. But then again, some people will b_tch about anything and everything.
