Standing 5 foot 5 and fighting in the 132 pound lightweight class, Queen Underwood is one of the fiercest fighters in America.
A 5-time national champion ranked 4th in the world in the lightweight division, Queen is regarded as this country's best hope to medal in London.
"This is the start you know, history in the making,” she says.
History in the making because women's boxing will make its debut at this summers' Olympic Games.
“Put boxing back on the map... this time women's style,” she says.
In London, 250 men will fight in 10 weight classes in contrast to just 36 female fighters in 3 weight divisions.
But don't even think about telling the "queen of the ring" that girls don't deserve to be there.
"I say watch me in the ring and you'll come back and tell me something different,” she says.
So far at the Olympic trials, the No. 1 ranked Underwood is undefeated but hasn't dominated her opponents.
Despite that, she remains relentless and focused on her goal.
The road to London is a long one. To hook a spot on Team USA, Queen has to win her division at the team trials and then place in the top 8 at the world championships in china in may in order to find herself fighting for that gold in London.
"This is happening, this is real. You guys just gotta believe it and believe in me ‘cause I believe in myself,” she says.
