OCEAN SHORES, Wash. -- Police say two officers were choked and bitten when they tried to break up a fight between a 42-year-old woman and her 24-year-old daughter in Ocean Shores.

Police said they responded to a call about the fight Tuesday night. When one officer tried to arrest the daughter, police said the mother put a leg lock around his neck. Then the daughter kicked the officer in the head. The other officer was bitten several times.

Public Safety Chief Mike Styner told KBKW the two women were eventually taken into custody and jailed for investigation of assaulting officers.

Police said the women had been drinking.
