SEATTLE -- After a search involving SWAT and K-9 officers, Seattle police arrested a man who they believe fired shots along Interstate 5 near the I-90 interchange Tuesday morning.

Police received reports of a man with a gun firing shots near 12th Avenue and Dearborn around 11:15 a.m.  It's not known if anyone was injured.

The report prompted police to close the on- and off-ramps to Dearborn Street and the ramp to eastbound I-90 from northbound I-5 while officers, SWAT members and police dogs canvassed the area. The suspect was last seen traveling on foot under I-5 around South Massachusetts Street.

Around 12:40 p.m., SWAT officers stopped a suspect matching the description in the greenbelt area near 13th Avenue South and South Dearborn Street. That man was placed under arrest and transported to the East Precinct.

so does this suspect tie in to the suspect in the Sequim homicides? or does the man arrested on the Bremerton Ferry tie in to the Sequim article?
