SEATTLE - A magnitude 5.7 earthquake occurred off the coast of Vancouver Island on Saturday afternoon, the USGS reports.
The quake occurred at 12:05 p.m.
It was centered about 217 miles west of Vancouver, B.C. and 153 miles west-northwest of Neah Bay, Wash.
The depth was 8 miles.
The USGS website "Did you feel it" page received reports from Vancouver and Victoria, B.C. as well as from Lopez Island, Wash.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury. The USGS said there as no threat of a tsunami.
