Newt Gingrich will bring his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination to Washington later this week.
The former House speaker will be in Spokane and the Tri-Cities on Thursday, and in several Puget Sound locations on Friday. No further details were provided by Gingrich's campaign.
Gingrich will become the third Republican presidential hopeful to visit the state. Rick Santorum campaigned in Tacoma and Olympia on Feb. 13, and Ron Paul was in Vancouver, Seatac and Richland on Feb. 16 and 17.
Mitt Romney, the embattled GOP frontrunner, is scheduled to campaign in Seattle on March 1, two day's ahead of the state's GOP presidential caucus.
Romney's son, Josh, visited visiting Vancouver, Olympia, Tacoma and Bellevue on Monday and was expected to campaign in the eastern part of the state on Tuesday.
President Obama was in the area on Feb. 17, giving a speech on trade and manufacturing at the Boeing plant in Everett and attending two fundraisers on the Eastside.
