KITSAP COUNTY -- Four more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Washington State Patrol Trooper Tony Radulescu.

Late Friday night, the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office sent out a press release saying five people are now in custody for rendering assistance to Josh Blake after he shot and killed Trooper Radulescu.

Blake's girlfriend was initially taken into custody on the day of the shooting and appeared in court on Friday.

Since that arrest, detectives say, they continued to follow up on leads.  On Friday afternoon, detectives interviewed numerous people who were present at  the address where Blake abandoned his Ford pickup after shooting Trooper Radulescu.

Investigators say one of those people taken into custody is an 18-year-old South Kitsap woman who was determined to have been a passenger in Blake's truck when he shot and killed Trooper Radulescu.

She is being held at the Kitsap County Jail for Rendering Criminal Assistance.  Her bail is set at $500,000.

A 30-year-old man, 26-year-old woman, and 37-year-old man were also taken into custody.  They are all from the South Kitsap area.

All five people arrested are facing charges of rendering criminal assistance. Details of what they did have not yet been released.

One of the most important elements is the arrest of the 18-year-old passenger who was there at the time of the shooting. She may be able to give details about why Blake was pulled over and what led to the shooting death of Radulescu.

Thank you to the Kitsap Sheriff's Office for being thorough and diligent in this murder case. It should bring us all sorrow to have one man's actions cause so much pain and grieving, even now to those now being arrested. The people who post all the negative garbage directed towards the police should be ignored as social outcasts rather than given attention. I know they make decent people angry but it won't change their warped sense of reasoning, they are who they are.

Awol, if you called 911 before you were shot and told them the make and model plus the license number of the person who is going to shoot you dead in the next five minutes. And the shooter uses his own vehicle. And he is a career criminal and the police know who they hang around with they could catch you killer too. Too bad for us that we do not have a way to tell the police ahead of time.

the reason the cops drop all investagation and put everything they got into the persuit of cop killers is the killer is usely one of us and not one of them.

If only the cops would pursue every homicide as quickly and with as much manpower as when a fellow cop gets killed. I could only dream that the cops would act with such force if it were me that was shot and killed. Unfortunately, who the victim is determines the manpower allocated for the investigation. And if truly the cops are undermanned to do all investigations with as much manpower as this killing, then I would have to ask, which other murder investigations are now being put on the back burner, as we all know that time is of the essence in criminal investigations in order to solve them before the trail goes cold. From reading the accounts of what happened and who the cops hauled in and arrested, my take is that the cops have gone way overboard on this, to the point of harassment and potentially subjecting us taxpayers to lawsuits by those arrested if it is later shown the cops acted with less than proper authority.

@intrepid1 Police are arresting bad people every day but when a law inforcement officer get killed. They need to set a presence that that will not be tolerated like when a dog bites its owner. Otherwise it shows weekness and that causes more people to not respect police and show bad people that its ok to do these things with no consequence. I dont know why you care that these loser people that are getting arrested they helped this crack head out. You thing this Blake would hesitate to kill you or your family member if you had something he wanted ?????

@ Daytrader there is. Unfortunately, it requires the officer to identify the person and run him through a computer. Sometimes it is fast sometimes it is slow....often times it is too late.

Never been arrested. Never been to jail. Never committed any crime. Maintain a decent, law abiding life and likelihood, thank you for asking. My point was that a police officer gets shot, there's lots of action rounding up people and charging them with crimes - tenuous connections at times as well - and the media and everyone else assumes guilty (!), but that's what courts are for, not police. In the meantime, there are other crimes that get much less a rapid response from police or as visible a one. Yeah, they're rounding up anyone who might have any connection to the man who offed himself after killing a police officer -- and charging them with crimes on the basis of...? I'm waiting for evidence, not assertions of the police, that these others did anything criminal. Oh, and thanks for the insults and name calling. It really shows how civil you are.

Wow. Does it matter why an officer pulls someone over. No first responder or officer deserves to be killed. They put their lives on the line everyday. I am surprised about the attitudes of people filled with so much anger. Last I hear they are trying to protect us and enforce the laws that were made to make our lives hopefully more safe. I am a widow and my husband committed suicide by cop and they did their job Correct and exactly like they should have. My husband made a poor choice and was obviously sick. My heart goes out to the family. And I pray for the officers that responded to my call for help the day I became a widow. I can't imagine what they must live with daily since that day. And now another law enforcement officer gone. What would our life be like if we did not have them. I Thank God for them.

The 'witch hunt' comments stun me! Those that chose a profession to maintain civilized order and therefore make our world safer are very vulnerable to those who have no regard for anyone but themselves. If a blatant murder of an officer occurs, I would certainly hope that not only his fellow law enforcement colleagues, but anyone with information, would come forward to help solve the murder. Why would we make the horrific actions of those (thankfully) few, any easier for them, or of less consequence???

The people guilty of renewing assistance are those that should have warned the officers before he ever walked up to the truck. There is no reason that there cannot be a flag in the system to warn officers if the registered owner has a history. Can't be used as a tool to use as a reason to stop someone, but once stopped, it could be a life saver.

So, the weakest broke down and mentioned other names. The trouble is, that nobody dialed 911 and as they got involved they became as guilty as the killer. Those that dial 911 will be thanked, those that just went along for the ride may get prison sentences, thats what happened in the case of the CLEMMONS Shootout. Someone may have to claim the killer held a gun in my mouth unless I helped him. The killer cant dispute that. Ever wonder why the office was tryng to pull him over? Think... killer driving eratic, young 18 year old up front with him, maybe giving him a [ CENSOR ] job. Killer would have been upset cause she had to stop. Took it out on the bully cop. When they cut him open, look for lipstick around his [ CENSOR ]

Call it pay backs, call it a witch hunt, call it law enforcement revenge whatever, if they knew what happened and didn't report it then their guilty of first degree murder under most other state laws, but not in the nanny state rendering criminal assistance is as tough as it gets, and people wonder why criminals love coming into this state.

If you don't punish those that aid murders then you make it much easier to get away with murder. That said there are different levels to that. From what has been released so far the 18 year old woman seems to have rendered less aid than the girlfriend. That may be incorrect but we will find out more as the investigation continues.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. The law states if you do not immediately run away from the person and call police after finding out about a felony, you are guilty of the felony. Don't take chances. Turn them in quick.

Every one who gave assistance to the killer after he killed the cop is an accessory after the fact, under the law, and is guilty of capital murder under the law. Each should receive the death penalty and be hanged in the town square like the dogs that they are. Only if they turn state's evidence and spill their guts about everything should they get any consideration on the sentence. I would volunteer to serve on the lynch squad just like President Grover Cleveland did when he was Governor of NY.

Lots of funny comments here. A lot of our 'hood shootings here have had the investigations stall because the witnesses wouldn't talk. If no one offers up a suspect, that's usually the end of the line if there isn't other evidence capable of producing any leads. In the trooper murder case, they had a license plate number from the get-go so they were able to determine the registered owner quickly and find his home address, search his phone records and find anyone he called or who called him. My guess is most of this cop killer's friends are crankheads and/or have extensive criminal records, so it won't be too difficult to find them.

Starting to sound like a witch hunt... the guilty party offs himself and so they round up everyone they can to extract vengeance. If the person killed had not be a police officer or white, there would likely been less than this effort being made. So much for "equal protection under the law" as the police will take care of their own.

I'm sorry, but I call this justice! A similar sweep happened in Tacoma in the last 6 months. I bet all of you called that justice, not a witch hunt! There are unsolved crimes in all neighborhoods and someone said it right, it takes leads and community cooperation. There is something called "aiding & abetting" & it appears those involved might have helped. Wow, how attitudes change when you live in Bremerton! just sayin...

I don't see much information in the story...but. If I witnessed my wife killing a state trooper, I think I would be very cooperative with her for fear of my own life. If the opportunity presented itself, I would have gotten away and reported it. But that is if.

I don't get the witch hunt term; the police are arresting anyone who might have been involved with the perp. Explain to me how that is a witch hunt! From the earlier picture of the "home" it appears completely covered in mildew, but did not see the meth cooking pots. These people could be a waste to society, but not sure. Of one thing I am sure, the perp was a waste and I'm glad he is dead. GOOD WORK OFFICERS. SUPPORT OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN BLUE!

It is most definitely a witch hunt. They want to send a clear message. That would be a message most of us already understand. Said being DO NOT SHOOT COPS. Ok, I am 100 percent convinced that is teh proper path. It is still a witch hunt and makes them look bad.
