SEATAC, Wash. - A man with a lengthy rap sheet wanted in Snohomish County for felony assault ran from police at Sea-Tac International Airport as he was preparing to board a Southwest Airlines flight to Houston.
A police officer tried to snag 24-year-old Trent Jermaine Lee of Everett before he boarded the plane, but the suspect bolted through an security door onto the tarmac, ran down a ramp outside near the aircraft, through the baggage claim area and then back outside onto the airport drive.
With officers approaching from north and south, he hopped into a rental van being loaded by employees of a cable television show and fled.
"An arriving passenger was loading a rental vehicle with nearly a hundred thousand dollars worth of TV equipment and the suspect jumped into their vehicle and fled the scene," said Cmdr. Bill McAteer, Port of Seattle Police. "The suspect was involved in a hit and run accident on South 188th Street and then he fled the scene there also."
The van was later found near Toys R Us in Tukwila with all TV gear accounted for. The crew works for WE-TV which is filming the show "The Locator" in Washington state. According to a press release, the show is dedicated to "reuniting loved ones and reconnecting lives."
Trent Jermaine Lee is a black male, 5-foot-7, 210 pounds, with convictions for felony assault, theft and violating a no-contact order. He also was convicted for taking a vehicle without permission and as a juvenile, possession of marijuana. He uses several aliases including Lamont Lee, Terrance Jackson Hill, Jermaine Deuillin and James T. Andersen.
