WASHINGTON, D.C. -  Drugmaker Medimmune is recalling nearly 5 million doses of swine flu vaccine because the nasal spray appears to lose strength over time.

The Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday that the vaccine is safe and patients who received the product should be protected from the H1N1 virus.

The FDA says the vast majority of the doses have already been distributed and used. Agency officials say the vaccine met potency specifications when it was distributed in October and November.

Last week, another vaccine maker recalled swine flu shots for children because tests indicated those doses lost some strength.

Why do healthy people need drugs? Why do ppl sit in cars for 6 hours a day? Why do ppl work rotating shifts? Why do ppl suck coal dust 60 hours a week? There's a million things people don't NEED to do, but there they are, with chrome on their front teeth, pretty painted cars and 300 dollar shoes. People use and do as they see fit, based on their environment... Besides, it's a lot more than drugs we're talking about when it comes to the immune system, there ain't anyone who so much as uses GASOLINE that has a "normal" immune system. For all of that though, the drug corporations at least can be successfully sued, unlike, say, Exxon. Save your vitriol for roofing tar manufacturers & auto detailing shops - both use overpriced chemicals we don't "need"

Drug companies once again... they run the world! They have a drug for everything. What ever happened to only taking life saving drugs? Why do healthy people need drugs? Well... it is so they can make more money! If you eat healthy and keep your immune system working you don't need drugs! If your immune system is messed up then you can get cancer and the flu .. colds etc... so work on that immune system. Our bodies were created to fight off sicknesses. It is all about money....
