Seattle was recently ranked 9th in the country for the most expensive cities to raise an infant. Childcare costs can be a determining factor whether new parents go back to work, stay home with their kids, or find childcare.

Liz Kindred took 5 months off work for maternity leave, but when the leave was up she decided to go back to work. Kindred is a safety officer at Harborview Medical Center.
"I've been on quite a few waitlists," Kindred said one of the most stressful experiences of being a new parent was finding daycare.

Kindred and her husband both work full-time and chose an in-home daycare for their daughter Lucy.
