KING 5's Jean Enersen talks with Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson about how parents should respond to a crying infant.
What parents can do:
* Choose the method that feels best for your family! This is a win-win
* Keep a set bed time, with a strict bedtime routine starting at 1 month
* Let babies fall asleep on their own at bedtime
* Know that sleep affects mood. If you're depressed and exhausted, talk with a doctor
* For safety, always put baby to sleep on their back, with no soft bedding
