Scientists are eyeing a vaccine to help breast cancer survivors stay cancer free after treatment.
The vaccine is calle E-75. It helps stimulate T-cells to attack cancer cells. In trials, women injected with the vaccing saw a 50 percent reduction in recurrence.
The drug Herceptin can do the same thing, but only 20 percent of breast cancer survivors can take it.
E-75 developer George Peoples says three times as many survivors could benefit from his baccine.
