No-cost mammograms for women in need

SEATTLE - Unemployment continues to be on the rise in Western Washington. Because of this many people are being to forced to make changes in their lives. Among these changes, preventative care.

For women, one of the most important things they can do is to have a annual mammogram.

Because of the importance, KING 5 and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance are teaming up to offer no-cost mammograms to those in need. The mammograms will be available Wednesday, Oct. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 29.

The Mammovan will be in two Seattle locations.

On Wednesday, it will be parked outside the Ballard Safeway at 1423 NW Market St., from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Then on Thursday, it will park outside the Safeway at 7300 Roosevelt Way NE, in Seattle from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
