A new study provides confirmation for something most women already knew: menopause can make your brain feel foggy.
A University of Illinois study published online in the Journal Menopause conducted found menopausal women who felt their memory wasn't up to par were right, even though most still scored within the normal range on eight tests of thinking and memory.
Researchers found those who experienced more severe and frequent hot flashes did worse on the tests, as well as those who had more negative emotions.
They say making notes and lists could help women deal with this symptom. It should go away once menopause ends.
