Foam Roller Workout

Foam rollers are available in a variety of different densities. If you’ve recently had surgery, or you’re recovering from a serious injury, look for a softer roller like the blue one pictured above. The black foam roller is a good example of a medium density roller, and it will work for almost everyone. The one downside of this type of roller is that the foam compresses over time, lessening the tool’s effectiveness. Bordeaux’s favorite is the orange Trigger Point roller; in fact, she actually endorses the product. The strong interior core can withstand pressure without losing its shape and the soft foam exterior over the hard core actually mimics a masseuse’s hands.
