From losing weight to being better at managing finances, millions of resolutions were made this year in Seattle.
Some make a commitment to it and others just think about it.
"Every year I think about quitting smoking, but it hasn't really worked out this year very well," said Scott Smith of Seattle.
By February nearly half of us will have broken that promise to ourselves.
Now, Seattle based EveryMove is making it easier for all of us by offering a mileage rewards equivalent program for our health to keep us all on track.
"We help people turn all of their great lifestyle activites into rewards from companies that want to support them," said Russell Benaroya, EveryMove CEO.
Reward programs exist for everything from spending and eating more to gambling, but this is one of the first that recognizes you for doing great things for your health.
"What we have done is allow people to connect to all of these devices and apps that are helping people track their activity. We help you take that information and package it up, earn points on every move, that have real value," said Benaroya.
So whether you are at the gym, walking the dog or mowing the lawn you'll earn rewards from local merchants and can even earn money back from your health plan.
"And even earn more points if you're doing it with other people," said Benaroya.
Creating that social accountability that many of us need.
"An app like this really helps because it gives you support from your friends and your family," said Jason Mesnick, EveryMove user.
Support that is needed to make those healthy choices
