Yoga can increase strength, flexibility, and peace of mind

As part of their "Get Fit" challenge, the morning crew men, Jake Whittenberg and Mark Wright, turned to yoga.

Jake was a first time visit to the weekly Thursday yoga class, and teacher Carrie Hopperstad said he was a natural.

Mark and Jake agreed that if you haven't tried yoga, you should -- it's a much harder workout than they both expected.

Weatherman Jim Guy has been practicing yoga for years. He even traveled to India to study.

Never tried yoga? Here are tips from Hopperstad:

  • Go in with an open mind
  • Don't try to prove anything
  • Focus your awareness on your breath
  • Find a style of yoga that works for you

Mark said you'll see small improvements every week. And over time there will be a huge difference in strength, flexibility, and peace of mind.
