For the second time in two years, a generic form of Lipitor has been recalled in the U.S.

The recall comes from India-based Ranbaxy laboratories and was announced on the FDA website last week.

The company is withdrawing more than 64,000 bottles of 10-milligram tablets of Atorvastatin calcium, a generic form of the cholesterol lowering drug.

There is concern some of these bottles may contain 20 milligram tablets, although there have been no product complaints related to these recalled batches.

Ranbaxy had to recall the same drug in 2012, amid fears some bottles contained small particles of glass.
