Adam Garone is one of the founders of "Movember."

"Movember is the month formally known as November where we challenge men to change their appearance and change the face of men's health by growing a mustache," he said.

It started over beers six years ago in Australia -- and has quickly become a leading fundraiser for prostate cancer.

Men begin the month clean shaven and then grow a mustache for the 30 days of November. They ask for donations from family and friends to keep the "mo" mentum going.

Supporters say it works because it's a conversation starter.

"They look at you weird and you can start conversations where you can spread the positive word about men's health and cancer awareness in the male community," said Korye Logan.

Participants like it because it's an easy way to raise money.

"No training, no sweat, no tears, just looking like an idiot," said Dave Zeh.

Movember is expected to raise $65 million for prostate cancer.
