Your chances of surviving a heart attack are much higher in Seattle thanks to Medic One, which not only trains emergency respondents on proper CPR techniques but also because 911 dispatchers are trained how to coach callers on how to deliver assistance.

Medic One also has trained thousands of King County residents in CPR, ensuring that a significant portion of the public is at least familiar with the basics of the technique.

Watch a video of SFD paramedic Norm Nedell demonstrating proper CPR.
