It’s job with constant ups and downs - and that's a good thing for Rene Bibaud.
Bibaud is a professional jump roper who performed with Cirque Du Soleil. She’s also a five-time world champion and double-dutch world-record holder. Her record: 756 jumps in just 2 minutes - that's six jumps per second.
And add to her resume public speaker, teacher and fitness expert.
"You know, I'm able to do the things that I really enjoy,” Bibaud said. “I have a nice lifestyle. I get to do all this traveling and meeting lots of people. I love what I do."
Rene's rope jumping journey started in Kirkland.
"My dad taught me when I was five years old. I still really remember the day outside in my front yard,” she recalled.
Bibaud has been jump roping ever since. She says it's a full body workout that will put bounce back in your step.
"You're working your arms, your shoulders, your back, your core," she said.
As you'd expect, Bibaud thinks rope jumping is the best exercise there is. She plans to hop, skip and jump for the rest of her life.
