Skating is a low-impact workout

Skating is a great option if you want a low-impact workout since it’s easy on the joints. That being said there is a risk a falling so lessons are a good idea. “Learn To Skate” Director Lisa Ware offers a few tips so new skaters can minimize the chance of falling. Keep a low center of gravity, keeps your knees bent and your arms out in front of you. Ware also offers helmets for those that want an extra layer of protection.
