The Washington State Department of Health released new numbers Friday on this flu season.
Since December 16th, 12 people have died from the flu. Most of the victims were 65 years and older. A total of 507 cases have been reported.
Interestingly, the proportion of positive flu tests has decreased in Western Washington but increased in Eastern Washington.
The Center for Disease Control recommends that everyone over the age of six months get a flu vaccine.
