Cancer survivors may experience more severe hot flashes associated with menopause.

A new study from Australia included questionnaire results from more than a thousand women. The majority had breast cancer.

For the cancer survivors, hot flashes were much more frequent and severe during menopause. However, they reported fewer psychological problems associated with menopause, perhaps the result of good social support systems for cancer survivors.
