A new app for the iPhone helps cancer patients and survivors use nutrition to improve their health.

The app "Ask the Nutritionist: Recipes for Fighting Cancer," created by dieticians at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, provides recipes and tips for people going through cancer treatment or those who are in recovery.

Users can search recipes based on their specific disease type, or symptoms they are experiencing, such as nausea or mouth sores.

Several studies have shown a healthy diet doesn’t only lower your risk for developing cancer, but also helps people stricken with the disease improve their outcome.

The recipes can also be used by people looking for new, healthy meal options and isn’t inclusive to cancer patients.
