Jean Enersen shared these tips to improve heart health at the Go Red for Women Luncheon Tuesday at the Seattle Marriott, in support of the Go Red movement by the American Heart Association.
10 steps to take care of yourself
2. Lose weight
3. Reduce alcohol
4. Quit smoking
5. Educate yourself about blood pressure and cholesterol
6. Lower stresss
7. Get yearly check ups
8. Ask about aspirin to prevent heart attacks and strokes
9. Eat well: less fat and salt, more fruit and vegetables
10. Eat 2 oz of dark chocolate
