Most dog owners would do anything to care for their canine best friend... So when Rick Woodford's dog, Jackson, was diagnosed with lymphoma, he did something unique -- he started cooking him home made meals.
His recipes became a hit, and soon he was delivering his stew to owners with sick dogs who were nursing them to health. With all the success, he was given the title - "The Dog Food Dude" and now he's got a brand new cookbook.
The book is actually more than a cookbook, it also helps people pick out a better commercial food, deal with problem mealtime behaviors, figuring out how to help a dog slim down, and what foods can be shared right off the cutting board and what amount is appropriate for your size dog.
You have a chance to cook with the Dog Food Dude this weekend. He's hosting a cooking class at Sizzleworks in Bellevue on Saturday starting at 10 am.
