Mixing up veggie cocktails

Spring is the time of year to get some of the freshest foods, making it the perfect time to explore new tastes.

Mixologist Christian Krogstad joined Kim today to venture into some uncharted territory and learn some fresh new cocktail recipes, all made from veggies.

Recipes from today's show:


⅓ pint full of fresh mint

2oz. Aviation American Gin

¾ oz fresh pressed lime juice

¾ oz grade A maple syrup 

¾ oz freshly extracted yellow bell pepper juice

Shake, double strain, rocks, pepper & mint garnish


1 thin Serrano chili slice

2 oz. Aviation American Gin

3/4 oz. freshly pressed lime juice

1 oz. freshly extracted celery juice

3/4 oz. simple syrup

Shake/Up/upside down celery leaves rim of the glass 


GARDEN OF EDEN (Tomato recipe)

4-5 cherry tomatoes (Sweet 100s or similar heirloom variety)

2 medium strawberries

2 oz. Few Rye Whiskey 

3/4 oz. Dolin Blanco Sweet Vermouth

2 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters

1 tsp. simple syrup

Shake, double strain, up with tomato garnish
