Chef John Howie is known for his giving nature and his incredible restaurants, Seastar, John Howie Steak and Sport. In his world, the time for giving thanks is not just the third Thursday in November, but every day of the year. Chef John prepared his Thai Coconut Curried Crab and Mussel Chowder, which won the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Chowder Competition in September.
The chowder will be featured at John's upcoming Stone Soup event on Saturday, November 24. Between 11am and 2pm, stop by the plaza outside Seastar restaurant in Seattle to enjoy a cup of chowder served by John, former Seahawk star Craig Terrill and a number of other celebrities. The $10 donation benefits Food Lifeline and is part of John and Craig's Kick Hunger Challenge.
The two team up again in January for Jambalaya Night at SPORT Seattle on Thursday, January 10, also benefiting Food Lifeline as part of Kick Hunger Challenge. Enjoy jambalaya and other New Orleans fare, whle the Craig Terrill Band entertains you.
