Contest Rules - KING 5's 4th Annual Evening Magazine "Wedding of Your Dreams"

WHO CAN ENTER: Couples who are each at least 18 years old, Washington State residents, engaged to be married, and are qualified and willing to be legally married in accordance with Washington law on KING 5's Evening Magazine wedding special. Employees, temporary employees, independent contractors and interns of KING 5 Television, KING5.com, Belo Interactive, Inc., Belo Corp., any sponsor(s), The Space Needle, Seattle Wedding show, their respective parents, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies ("Contest Providers") and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win prizes.

HOW TO ENTER: You may enter several ways:

• Print off our online form at: http://www.king5.com/eveningmagazine/woyd/2004/, and drop off completed entries at the Seattle Wedding Show, January 3 & 4, 2004 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
• You may also pick up entry forms at the Seattle Wedding Show or print off our form at http://www.KING5.com and mail it beginning on January 5, 2004 to: "Wedding of Your Dreams," KING 5 Television, PO Box 19640, Seattle, WA 98109.
• Enter online at http://www.KING5.com from January 5, 2004 through January 16, 2004. All entries must include one color photo of the Couple, the legal name of each person in the Couple, and all other required fields of information. Only one entry per Couple is permitted.

DEADLINES: All mail entries must be postmarked by 11:59 pm on January 16, 2004. Late submissions will not be accepted after the deadline for any reason. Contestants entering close to the posted deadline do so with this information in mind.

NO RESPONSIBILITY is assumed by KING 5 Television, KING5.com or any Contest Providers, for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of KING 5 Television and will not be returned to entrant.

WINNER SELECTION PROCESS: Four Finalist Couples will be selected from eligible entries by a panel of judges chosen by KING 5 Television. Decision of the judges is final as to all matters relating to eligibility of entries and choice of Finalist Couples. Finalists will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Acceptance of Prize Terms, Privacy/Publicity Consent, and Release of Liability, as a condition of participating in the final selection. The Finalist Couples must be available for video taping during the period between January 30, 2004 - March 7, 2004, and if selected as Grand Prize winners (one Couple), will also be required to be available for other video taping, on reasonable notice, before the wedding. If any Finalist Couple is unable to meet these conditions, the judges may select another Couple in their place. Video tape of the Finalist Couples will be aired on KING 5's Evening Magazine during the week of March 8, 2004. Excerpts will also appear on www.KING5.com. Between March 12, 2004 - March 19, 2004, viewers will vote online at www.KING5.com to select one Couple from among the Finalist Couples to receive the Grand Prize "Wedding of Your Dreams" described below.

GRAND PRIZE: The winning Couple will receive a wedding package valued at approximately $20,000, for a July 11, 2004 wedding to be video taped and aired by KING 5's Evening Magazine. Items in the wedding package will be determined by KING 5 Television and sponsors, based in part on voting by viewers, and may be subject to change based on availability and other conditions, within the discretion of KING 5 Television. Finalist Couples will have an opportunity to review details of the wedding package before deciding to participate in the final voting and executing the Acceptance of Prize Terms.

Subject to these conditions, the Grand Prize wedding package is intended to include: a wedding ceremony and reception for 50 at The Space Needle (to include catered hors d'oeuvres and beverages).

It is anticipated that the following items will be determined by vote of viewers from among choices selected by KING 5 Television and sponsors: Wedding Bands, Bridal Gown, Tux, China and Crystal, and a Honeymoon package. The prize is non-transferable and substitutions may not be possible. Any additional charges, taxes, and fees (including marriage license fees) that are not included in prize items are the responsibility of the winners. A 1099 IRS tax form will be provided to the winner. The winning Couple will be required to be available for video taping, on reasonable notice, before and after the wedding.

USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION: Contest Providers reserve the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the Contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Entrants further grant to Contest Providers the right to use and publish their proper name and area of residence online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest duration. Finalist Couples will be required to execute further written Privacy/Publicity Consent, and Release of Liability forms.

CONDUCT: What is expected of all selected Couples during the contest. By entering the Contest, all Couples agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted at the Contest site throughout the wedding Contest. Couples further agree to be bound by the decisions of the Contest Providers, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Contest Providers reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. All persons agree that in the use of the Contest - including but not limited to chat areas, and the registration of usernames or group names - you will not use obscene, libelous or slanderous language, or language which infringes upon a third party's trademark, trade name or other intellectual property right or right to privacy. All persons agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contest Providers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, sponsors, officers, consultants, agents, and employees against and from all claims, damages liabilities, costs and expenses asserted by third parties alleging that the Contest includes obscenity, libel, slander, or infringes upon the third party's intellectual property or privacy rights, as a direct result of your actions in the use of the Contest. You further agree to not knowingly: damage or cause interruption of the Contest; prevent others from using the Contest; obtain or modify another user's non-public account information without their consent.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE WEDDING CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CONTEST PROVIDERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: All winners assume liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, failure to receive any prize or anything not provided by KING 5's Evening Magazine for wedding. Contest Providers are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. Contest Providers assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Contest Providers are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Contest Providers which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Contest Providers reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
