Powerful short documentary about growing up gay in post-Soviet Russia

Filmmaker and Seattle-based artist Wes Hurley shared more about his award-winning short film, Little Potato, about his formative years in post-Soviet Russia and the journey he and his mother undertook to a new life in the US.

A short film about a young, gay man's formative years in Russia, is garnering widespread attention, as well as Oscar buzz. Little Potato has won numerous awards, including the prize for Documentary Short Film at South by Southwest.

Filmmaker and Seattle-based artist Wes Hurley shared more about the film, which he co-directed with Nathan Miller. Wes also shared more about the journey he and his mother undertook, from post-Soviet Russia, to life in the US.
