New documentary celebrates & empowers women

Scilla Andreen and Sarah Moshman premiere documentary, Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things

An all-female film crew embarked on a cross-country road trip, on a mission to empower and inspire women and girls to reach for their dreams, with help and advice from some of the country's most accomplished and renowned female leaders in a number of fields. The result is the documentary: "The Empowerment Project: Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things," which asks people to think about what they would do if they knew they weren't afraid to fail.

Sarah Moshman, director and creator of film (along with production partner Dana Michelle Cook), joined host Margaret Larson, along with Scilla Andreen, CEO of IndieFlix, one of the film's producers, to talk more about the inspiration for the film and the women featured within.

"The Empowerment Project: Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things" premieres tonight (Monday, September 29) at 6:30pm at McCaw Hall in Seattle. The event is presented by IndieFlix and Nordstrom. (Please click the link above for more information and to reserve a seat.)
