Howl-o-ween with The Dogist and costumed canines

Elias Weiss Friedman, aka The Dogist, and Brandie Ahlgren from CityDog Magazine showcase dog-friendly Halloween events and how to snap the best photos of your pooch.

SEATTLE, WASH. - It's Howl-o-ween, and two things we love at New Day are Halloween and dogs!

The Dogist, Elias Weiss Friedman, returns to New Day with his new book The Dogist Puppies, which is 300 pages of adorable. The Dogist Puppies features page after page of cuddly faces, floppy ears, and the cutest, most irresistible pups. More than 800 pooch pictures make up sections like "Bundled up for Winter" and "Portable Pups". The book also includes tips and information for adopting dogs from shelters, as well as taking your puppy to the vet for the first time.

Elias demonstrates a few tricks he uses to capture those precious pet moments, with help from Brandie Ahlgren of CityDog Magazine and a few canines in costume from Downtown Dog Lounge.

The Dogist is doing a book signing and judging costumes this Saturday, October 28, from 12:00-2:30 pm at Dogwood Play Park.

CityDog Magazine hosts their annual Howl-at-the-Moon Muttmixer TONIGHT (Oct. 26) from 6-8 pm at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland!
