Genetic counselling can determine if a cancer diagnosis is inherited

Mercy Laurino of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and patient Aislinn, talk about genetic counseling and testing.

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance combines the brilliant minds of Fred Hutch, Seattle Children's and UW Medicine.  Together they've pioneered groundbreaking medical advancements in the cancer field.  As a comprehensive cancer center SCCA also offers genetic counseling and testing, which can help determine if a person has a genetic risk for cancer.

Mercy Laurino, a licensed genetic counselor and manager of the SCCA cancer prevention program, and patient Aislinn, talk about what you need to know and who might consider genetic counseling and testing.
