Teen boy helps young cancer patients

SEATTLE, WA - Skyler Hamilton, aspiring Eagle Scout and high school student from Everson, WA, visits New Day to tell all about his special project  for cancer patients at Seattle Children's Hospital. When Hamilton was just 7 years old he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and spent 10 months at Seattle Children's undergoing treatment. To help him better understand treatment, doctors used puppets to show Hamilton where they would be making the incision and how this would help him in the future.

Now Hamilton is a healthy 17-year-old with a passion for life and giving! He has decided to hand-make the puppets that comforted him during his time at Seattle Children's for the young children at the hospital today. The puppets will help children understand the procedures, help ease nerves and answer questions.
