Chinese Comfort Food: Soothes the Soul and Helps the Community

SEATTLE -- FareStart offers a 16-week program to help homeless and disadvantaged people to transition to self-sufficiency and get jobs in the food service industry. Food Writer & Chef Instructor Hsiao-Ching Chou will be serving as chef as part of the Guest Chef Night fundraiser at FareStart on Thursday, 8/27.  On New Day Northwest, she will talks through her planned main course and dessert on the menu which features aquaponically grown lettuce, and demonstrates how to make green onion pancakes, which are part of the first course.
