An ambitious 6 year-old's mission to find dogs a home

Roman McConn and his mom Jennifer run their own animal rescue organization in Burlington.

Roman McConn began rescuing dogs when he was just four years old. Now six, Roman is on a mission to find someone to adopt Legend, a deaf dog with a huge heart. Roman and his mom Jennifer brought Legend to New Day and chatted about what makes the dog so special.

It's clear Roman gets his passion from his mom. Jennifer McConn runs Project Freedom Ride, a nonprofit organization that transports dogs (and sometimes, cats) facing euthanasia at shelters in Texas, to no-kill shelters in Washington State.

A video clip of Roman pleading for someone to adopt Legend has gone viral, watch it here

UPDATE: As of Friday, November 10, Legend is still looking for a loving family to take him home, and being cared for at the Humane Society of Skagit Valley
