SEATTLE - They defend against the forces of the empire. And they're available for birthday parties.
They are the Jet City Saber Guild. The guild was founded by Matt Procaccini and his wife, Adrienne, New York transplants who brought their light sabers with them.
"I've been doing light saber combat for about 6 years," said Procaccini.
The couple has joined fellow Seattle saber rattlers to spread their love of Jedi culture, with carefully staged battles and light saber clinics for the kids.
This nonprofit group uses The Force for good. Any money they take in goes directly to a worthy cause.
"Anytime we're anywhere," Procaccini said, "we're trying to raise money for charity."
Watch for the Jet City Saber Guild coming to a galaxy near you.
They'll be at Pacific Science Center through the holidays.
