Legless dogs amaze

Evening's Michael King talks with owner, Patti Mauldin of Falhalla Canine Rescue about Honey and Badger's journey to mobility. Featuring the amazing prosthetic work of Sound Prosthetics in Olympia, WA.

Olympia, WA---Canine brother and sister Honey and Badger used to fall and they couldn't get up.

But thanks to a set of monster truck wheels, these fox terriers are rollin' again!

They were born without front legs. Their owner, Patti Mauldin of Valhalla Canine Rescue, outfitted them with a standard set of chair-style dog wheels.

But they were always reluctant to wear them and couldn't get around well.

That's where Random Owens and Garth Knapp of Sound Prosthetics in Olympia came in.

They usually work with human clients. But this was a challenge they couldn't resist.

Random had the idea to check the local toy store...where he found the perfect set of wheels. They molded a custom, plastic jacket for each dog and off they went!

Now Honey and Badger run...and wheel around like puppies.
