KEXP Week of 10/11 - !!! (Chk Chk Chk), S U R V I V E, Quantic, Cold War Kids, Naked Giants

John Richards with the music that matters, for the week of 10/11.

SEATTLE - This week in music kicks off with a wild one. Funky electro party band !!! (Chk Chk Chk) plays Neumos on Wednesday, October 12.
Just in time for Halloween month, the band behind the awesomely creepy soundtrack to Stranger Things is coming to town. S U R V I V E plays The Crocodile also on Wednesday, October 12. That moody synth sound was perfect for Stranger Things' 80s horror vibe, and is perfect for a live show as well. If you couldn't grab tickets to this sold out show, be sure to listen to S U R V I V E 's latest album RR7349
On Thursday, October 13, awesome latin funk and soul band Quantic play Nectar. Quantic is a project of New York based DJ and producer Will Holland. He can play basically every instrument himself, but will bring an awesome live band for this show.
On Friday, October 14, indie rockers Cold War Kids play Showbox SoDo. Cold War Kids hail from Long Beach, California. Their last album was called Hold My Home.
On Sunday, October 16, wild garage rockers and KEXP favorite Naked Giants play the Crocodile. Naked Giants played our Mural shows this summer, and absolutely tore it up.
That will do it for me this week, enjoy some music!
