Evening Eats: Ernest Loves Agnes

This Italian restaurant was inspired by Ernest Hemingway and even features the author's favorite drink.

SEATTLE - If you're planning a romantic dinner, call this place for reservations-- Ernest Loves Agnes on Capitol Hill.

It's a Hemingway-themed Italian restaurant. The author's letters line some of the walls, and you can even order the kind of cocktail he used to mix for himself.

The appetizers are as good as the main courses, Michael loved the Glazed Carrots as a starter, and we all shared some Handcrafted Pasta and their Speck Pie, made with sunny-side up eggs.

Ernest Loves Agnes is open seven days a week, and also serves brunch.

On the Menu:

  • Harissa Glazed Rainbow Carrots
  • Beet Salad
  • Black Pepper Tagliatelle
  • Dungeness Crab Risotto
  • Balsamic Fig & Prosciutto Pie
