What have you been up to since Almost Live ended?

In 2001, I started producing and hosting "City a go go", a tiny, 5-minute weekly local arts show that aired on Seattle Channel 21 and KCTS 9. In February 2008, "City a go go"  morphed into "Art Zone with Nancy Guppy," which is a weekly half-hour show about the local art scene that airs on Seattle Channel 21 and KCTS Channel 9.  Since February 2008, we've done close to 100 shows.  Art Zone is studio based, shot at the Seattle Channel, and features interviews, in-studio performance, and field pieces, covering all genres of art:  film, theatre, visual art, dance, music and, of course, things that defy description!

What was your favorite Almost Live sketch?

So many fun ones. Here's a few, but ask me tomorrow and I'd come up with a different list.  "Nature Walk with Chuck" is a riot. The wonderful actor, Matt Smith, played the role of Chuck.  A few more that come to mind are "The Grateful Gourmet," "New Boyfriend," "Me!" and I love the original "Plumber" piece that featured Pat, Joe, and myself.  Joe and I can quote numerous lines from that classic sketch, and often do.

What is your best Almost Live memory?

Again, lots of specifics come to mind.  Overall, my favorite memory is the camaraderie with my fellow cast members.  We were a fairly amicable bunch -- no out of control egos -- who enjoyed hanging out and making each other laugh. (Going to lunch most days was a sketch in itself -- deciding where to go and then getting everyone out the door at the same was pure absurdity.)
